What is a sworn (public) translation?

A sworn (or certified) translation is the translation of a document from one language to another that includes the signature and the official seal of a licensed sworn translator, granting it legal validity before authorities and institutions.
Examples include: birth certificates, diplomas, academic transcripts, contracts, powers of attorney, and more.

Apostille and legalization for use abroad

If you need to submit your documents abroad, you may be required to obtain a Hague Apostille (for member countries) or equivalent legalizations. In Argentina, apostilles are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by Provincial Notary Associations. We guide you through the entire process.

Hague Convention

If the country that issued your document appears on the list of member countries, the document must be legalized in order to be valid in other member countries.

Where can you obtain an apostille?

  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs (online process – up to 60 days processing time)
  • Provincial Notary Associations
